Joomla 2.5.2 is now available and as it’s a security release all Joomla users are welcome
to update their sites now. The good thing about it is that the update process is quite simple thanks to easy-to-follow instructions. So you can either download Joomla 2.5.2 or update your existing Joomla site to the new level; and in case you find a bug in Joomla, please don’t hesitate to report it on the Joomla! CMS Issue Tracker.

We hope you remember that Joomla 1.7 has reached the end of life and is no longer supported.
The Joomla project will continue to support Joomla 1.5 and Joomla 2.5, but anyone using Joomla is encouraged to keep an eye on the next releases of the Joomla CMS. This means Joomla 2.5.2 should be of interest to anyone who wants their Joomla sites work effectively.

As for Joomla 2.5.1, a few security issues and many tracker issues have been fixed to make it more perfect than the previous version of Joomla. Also, thanks to detailed instructions, it is really easy to update your Joomla site to Joomla 2.5.1 now. However, it is very important to backup your site before the upgrade.
