The Joomla Team has announced that Joomla 1.6 alpha 2 is now available!

The latest version of Joomla CMS comes with a number of new features requested by the community. As this is an alpha release it shouldn’t be installed on working sites. It’s intended to be tested by Joomla developers and Joomla enthusiasts.
